The Missional Journey is a blog, a Forum and a Community.
The Blog
The Blog started as the simple thoughts of activist Tim Jones. Originally hosted as Expatriate Manifesto Tim wrote about politics, social issues and theological concepts, all within the framework of being an Expatriate on mission with God. As time progressed Tim met some other like minded individuals who shared his passions for Jesus, the Mission of God, restorative justice and culture-making. Together they form the intelligence behind the Blog portion of Missional Journey.>
The Forum
The Forum is the interactive portion of the Site. Moderated by the MJ team, the purpose of the forum is for people to discuss issues raised in guest posts. There will be weekly guest posts from varying positions that are meant to incite friendly discussion and the sharpening of each other. The only rule we have is that you treat fellow commenters and the authors as you would like to be treated.
Community
One of the driving principles behind everything we do at MJ is a desire to see people connected to each other in community. Within the universal body of Christ there are many different theological positions and ideas of truth. However, we realize that Christ’s death and resurrection unify us beyond the bounds of “ism’s”.
Thus we have created a place for you to interact freely with others who may disagree with you but whom you can be confident are as equally invested in seeing the Mission of God carried out.
